Double A-Frame House
Prefabricated Housing Proposal
for 1 Family Unit and 1 Single Unit
The Double A-Frame House is a prefabricated housing proposal containing two units. The a-frame structure sets up a modular system, allowing for 8-feet modules containing the equipment necessary for living to simply slot in.
The intersection of the two units creates a shared utilities wall. This wall consolidates all the services (plumbing, gas, electricity) used by the residents of each unit.
Each function of the house is matched with a unique sectional characteristic. For example, both units enjoy a generous double-height living space. The intimate functions of the house are likewise matched with a cosier ceiling height. The project seeks to celebrate the dynamic spaces created by the triangular form.
